The Certificate of Higher Education in Business provides students with a broad and structured introduction to key areas of business and management through Level 4 study. The programme develops a foundational understanding of core concepts, theories and tools used in contemporary organisations, while introducing students to basic analytical and problem-solving approaches that can be applied to simple organisational scenarios. Students are also introduced to quantitative and digital skills, including basic data handling and the use of digital technologies in business contexts.

Suitability for this programme is not exclusively limited to academic qualifications and may be demonstrated through relevant professional experience which showcases transferable skills and knowledge. It will include:
Personal Learning Statement 300 words: short reflective narrative describing how professional and life experiences have built relevant skills).
Work experience via provided APEL form and verification (e.g. payslip and/or reference).
Other external Admissions Tests including English Language test and interview.
Internal maths test.
All applicants are required to demonstrate English proficiency above the B2 level of the Common European Framework (CEFR). A wide range of academic English qualifications and English tests are accepted as evidence of an applicant’s language ability, which include:
GCSE English Language grade 4/C or above.
IELTS 6.5 overall, with no less than 6 in each component.

In the portfolio, applicants should clearly evidence and explain the reasons they wish to study their chosen subject and how they believe their studies can positively impact their lives in the future.
